Maintenance / Engineering Manager

Dual Site | 🕒 Days (6:00–16:00 Mon–Fri + flexibility)

We’re looking for a driven Maintenance / Engineering Manager to take ownership of engineering operations across two busy manufacturing sites. This is a hands-on leadership role where you’ll drive reliability, reduce downtime, and push performance to the next level.

⚙️ What You’ll Be Doing

  • Lead and develop a high-performing maintenance team
  • Own plant reliability, uptime, and engineering performance
  • Drive PPM, RCM & TPM strategies
  • Use OEE data to improve productivity and reduce downtime
  • Manage budgets, resources, and maintenance planning
  • Oversee breakdowns, repairs, and emergency response
  • Support installation and commissioning of new equipment
  • Manage contractors, suppliers, and critical spares
  • Champion health & safety, compliance, and best practice
  • Build a culture of continuous improvement

What You’ll Bring

  • Proven experience in maintenance/engineering management
  • Strong knowledge of hydraulics & pneumatics
  • Ability to lead teams and deliver results under pressure
  • Organised, proactive, and commercially aware
  • Confident decision-maker with a hands-on approach
  • Experience in heavy industry (foundry ideal, not essential)

Bonus Skills

  • PLC / basic electrical knowledge
  • FLT / MEWP / lifting & slinging
  • First Aid / Fire Safety
  • Strong IT skills (Excel, Word, systems)
