Job Title: CMM Quality Inspector (Aberlink Experience Essential)

Job Type: Permanent
Salary: £36,000
We are currently seeking an experienced CMM Quality Inspector with strong working knowledge of Aberlink CMM systems to join our growing quality team. This is an excellent opportunity to work within a precision engineering environment where quality and accuracy are paramount.
Key Responsibilities:
• Operate and program Aberlink CMM equipment to inspect precision-engineered components
• Interpret complex engineering drawings, GD&T, and customer specifications
• Perform first-off, in-process, and final inspection activities
• Produce detailed inspection reports and documentation
• Support root cause analysis and corrective actions for non-conformances
• Ensure compliance with ISO and customer quality standards
• Calibrate and maintain inspection equipment as required
Requirements:
• Proven experience operating and programming Aberlink CMM systems
• Strong understanding of GD&T and engineering drawings
• Experience within a precision manufacturing or engineering environment
• Ability to use manual measuring equipment (micrometers, verniers, height gauges, etc.)
• High attention to detail and a proactive approach to quality
• Good communication and problem-solving skills
Desirable:
• Experience working to ISO 9001 / AS9100 standards
• Knowledge of FAIR documentation
• Apprenticeship or relevant engineering qualification
