Job Overview
We are seeking experienced Pipe Welders to join our valued client in the Dudley area. The successful candidates will be responsible for performing high-quality pipe welding, within pipe systems, ensuring compliance with safety standards and project specifications.

This role offers an opportunity to work on diverse projects in a factory environment, largescale pipe work.

Duties

  • Execute welding operations using MIG, TIG, and other relevant techniques on piping systems in accordance with schematics and technical drawings.
  • Interpret technical schematics, blueprints, and welding symbols to ensure precise fabrication.
  • Utilise hand tools, power tools, and specialised welding equipment to assemble and install piping components.
  • Perform soldering, cutting, grinding, and fitting tasks as required for pipe assembly and repair.
  • Conduct inspections of welds for quality assurance, adhering to industry standards.
  • Assist with maintenance tasks related to piping infrastructure, including troubleshooting and repairs.
  • Follow safety protocols at all times during welding and construction activities.
  • Maintain a clean and organised work environment, ensuring all tools and materials are properly stored.

Requirements

  • Proven experience in MIG and TIG welding techniques.
  • Strong understanding of schematics, technical drawings, and welding symbols.
  • Mechanical knowledge related to pipe fitting, plumbing, and construction processes.
  • Proficiency with hand tools, power tools, soldering equipment, and general maintenance tools.
  • Ability to read basic maths for measurements and calculations during fabrication.
  • Experience in assembly work within construction or industrial environments.
  • Knowledge of safety standards relevant to welding and construction sites.
  • Physical ability to perform manual tasks including lifting heavy materials and working in confined spaces.
