Straight-Line Civils are currently hiring an Intermediate Electrical Design Engineer based at the client's Head Office in Bromsgrove.

You will be responsible for supporting the design and estimation of industrial electrical projects. Previous experience within the water industry (WIMES) and wider utility/construction sector is incredibly desirable.

You will be working under senior guidance while taking ownership of defined packages and smaller projects. The company offers training and development with a clear progression path towards Senior Design Engineer.

Requirements:

• HNC/HND (or working towards) in Electrical Engineering (or equivalent experience)
• 1–3 years’ experience in utilities, industrial or construction sector
• Proficient with AutoCAD (2D) and Amtech/Trimble ProDesign (or equivalent)
• LV distribution, controls, MCCs, containment, cabling automation and instrumentation
• Strong MS Office and MS Project skills
• Clean UK driving licence

Desirable:

• Knowledge of WIMES standards,
• IOSH Managing Safely (or working towards NEBOSH General/Construction)
• Familiarity with HVAC/process/control systems in water treatment
• Estimation/tendering experience
• NEC contract awareness (Intro level)

Pay - £40,000 to £45,000
