Straight-Line Civils’ labour division supply labour across the residential and civil construction markets around the UK. 

Due to continued success, we are now looking for an ambitious business development manager to join us on a full time or part time, permanent basis and help us reach more construction companies that could use our support. 

With a resourcing team already in place, this role will be focused on business development to help further drive and diversify the company beyond its already extensive customer base. Still in the early stages of the company’s growth, this is a key opportunity to create your own career path to success.

Basic salary, commission structure and benefits are negotiable based upon experience 

Key responsibilities will include but are not limited to: 

• Extensive business development activity – cold calling prospective clients, sales presentations, and marketing events
• Negotiation of contracts, agreeing terms of business and profit margins
• Attending invitations to networking events around the Midlands, Manchester and London
• Attend Site visits

Knowledge, skills and experience: 

• A minimum of 7 years' experience working in a sales role within the construction labour market
• Proven ability to build and maintain long-lasting business relationships
• A current UK driving licence
• A full understanding of the recruitment cycle, employment law, GDPR and other relevant legislation would be advantageous.
