Mechanical Fitter

Location: Multi-site | Hours: Flexible (incl. overtime & weekends)

We’re looking for a hands-on Mechanical Fitter to keep critical plant and machinery running at peak performance in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

If you thrive on fault-finding, fixing problems fast, and making equipment run better than ever — this role is for you.

What You’ll Do

• Carry out PPM and reactive maintenance
• Diagnose faults and repair mechanical equipment
• Work on hydraulic, pneumatic & mechanical systems
• Weld, fabricate, and carry out machining repairs
• Minimise downtime and maximise plant performance
• Support continuous improvement across two sites
• Maintain high health & safety standards

What You Need

• Proven experience as a Mechanical Fitter (heavy industry ideal)
• Strong fault-finding and problem-solving skills
• Welding/fabrication experience
• Flexible, reliable, and a strong team player
• Ability to work independently and under pressure

Bonus Skills

• Siemens S7
• Forklift / crane / slinging
• Confined space / working at height
• MEWP, First Aid, Fire Marshal
